The new Oslo Airport is expanding. It will be completed in 2017, allowing 28 million passengers to travel to and from the airport every year. We were asked by Dinamo to make a film visualizing the changes. The model was made by the excellent wearetheartdepartment. The miniature model, which had to be both architectural and animatable, was more than 2 meters long and had hundreds of pieces. "The film mixes traditional puppet animation with 2D paper hinged animation. It was shot at our stages in Ojai CA. We shot with the Canon 5D, and 7D and 60D using Dragonframe software. For moving shots we used a rig called the Volo by ARC Motion Control (arcmoco.com).
